Designed Switzerland's first architect's chair in 1926, collaborated with Ernst Kadler-Vögeli for Swiss furniture manufacturer Horgen-Glarus.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAs early as 1927, the Museum of Design Zurich (Museum für Gestaltung Zürich) presented Haefeli's furniture in the exhibition 'Form without Ornament', including model 293, the first Typenmöbel (standardized or modular) furniture of Swiss modernism. The simplicity, beauty of form and timelessness of the Haefeli wooden chair is legendary. The high-quality workmanship is durable and sustainable. The model 293 features the double frame which can be removable and reupholstered, simplifying the work.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHäfeli set up furnished model apartments in the block designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe at Weissenhof Estate in Stuttgart in 1927, as part of the Werkbund exhibition - “The Dwelling “(“Die Wohnung”) organized by Deutscher Werkbund.  This design can be seen repeatedly in early interiors of Swiss Modernism in the Rotach houses (model houses at Wasserwerstrasse, 1927-28) or the Neubühl estate (Swiss Werkbund estate, 1927-32) in Zurich, designed in the modernist style of that time inspired by the Weissenhof Estate in Stuttgart.
