Tubular steel cantilever chair with French-walnut wooden seat and backrest designed by Dutch architect Mart Stam, manufactured in 1935 by Gebrüder Thonet AG, Germany. The beautiful grain. Early production piece.

B43F/B43 are the original design and original Thonet chair manufactured for 1930’s and 1940’s before World War II.S43F, S43 are re-edition. They are different in shape of seat and backrest and in diameter of tubular steel, the original 22mm while the re-edition 25mm. The original screwed while the re-edition rivetted on the seat and backrest.


Condition:
In good original vintage condition. Some signs of wear consistent with age and use.

オランダ人建築家マルト・スタムによるデザインで、1935年にドイツのゲブルダートーネット社によって製造された、フレンチウォールナット材の座面と背もたれの付いたスチール製パイプ椅子。初期の製造品ならではの、美しい木目が特徴的です。

B43F/B43は、第二次世界大戦前の1930年代から1940年代にかけて製造されたオリジナルデザインのトーネットチェアとなり、S43F、S43は復刻版。座面と背もたれの形状、鋼管の直径が異なり、オリジナルは22mm、復刻版は25mmとなります。シートと背もたれはオリジナルがネジ止めなのに対し、再版はリベット止め仕様です。


コンディション：
良好なオリジナル・ヴィンテージ・コンディション。経年と使用に伴う多少の磨耗が見受けられます。
