-侘び銀彩について-

侘び銀彩の器に施された銀の表情は、時の流れとともに静かに変化してゆきます。

淡いシャンパンゴールドから、やがて黄褐色、そして燻銀へと深まるその風合いは、硫化による自然な経年変化によるもの。

重曹などでお手入れすることで、ある程度銀色を保つこともできますが、変化を「育てる」愉しみもまた、この器の魅力のひとつです。

The silver finish on Wabi Ginsai pieces will gently transform over time, shifting from a soft champagne gold to amber, and eventually to a deep, smoky silver.

This change is a natural result of silver sulfuration with age.

While cleaning with baking soda can help preserve the original silver tone, the evolving patina is part of the vessel’s quiet beauty—something to be enjoyed as it matures with use.
