Table in solid dark brown lacquered teak, designed for Chandigarh projects. It is raw in its simplicity of construction yet functionality. The characteristic wide, tapered vertical legs make it one of Pierre Jeanneret’s iconic and timeless piece of furniture. The dark brown lacquered Chandigarh furniture was designed as a protective measure and for easier cleaning. It was therefore found in cafeterias and university restaurants as well as medical and hospital centres.

Condition: In good vintage condition with beautiful patina and some signs of wear consistent with age and use. As is common with Jeanneret designs, the wooden surfaces present with irregularities inherent in the natural wood. The lacquered teak presents with scratches, abrasions and scattered discolorations.
