A unique round small stool with straight totem legs from Burkina Faso, West Africa. The stool is hand-carved from a single solid piece of indigenous wood. Stool in African culture is very personal item that is said to be the seat of owner’s soul and used as a household object, in rites of passage and sacred. This is well patinated with a nice sheen from years of use. True craftmanship artifacts. Can be used as a decorative sculptural stool, small coffee table, or low side table.
Condition: In good vintage condition. Some signs of wear consistent with age and use.
