The elegant and beautiful proportioned cantilever MR 20 armchairs designed by German-American architect Ludwig Mies Der Rohe.
Made of bent tubular chromium-plated steel, features overarching arms and banded and sewn black leather spanning seat and back. This armchair was from 1970s by Stendig.
MR20 armchair is exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art and remains one of the quintessential Modernist Bauhaus designs. No makers labels.


Condition:
In good vintage condition. Some signs of wear consistent with age and use. Leather has scuffing and the chrome has some marks due to age.

ドイツ系アメリカ人の建築家ルートヴィヒ・ミース・デル・ローエがデザインした、エレガントで美しいプロポーションのカンチレバーアームチェアMR20。

曲げ加工を施したクロムメッキ鋼管製のアームと、帯状に縫製されたブラックレザーの座面と背もたれが、特徴です。このアームチェアは1970年代にステンディグ社によって製作されたもの。

MR20アームチェアは近代美術館に展示されており、モダニズム・バウハウスのデザインの真髄のひとつとも言われています。※メーカーラベルはありません。

コンディション:
良好なヴィンテージコンディション。経年と使用に伴う多少の擦れが見受けられます。レザーに擦れ、クロームに経年による傷がありますので、ディティール写真をご所望の方はお問い合わせくださいませ。
