Sliding sun-shutter panel, created for a prefab tropical school project in Cameroon, Africa. Seven wave panels in ribbed sheet of aluminium, manufactured by Les Ateliers Jean Prouvé, France. The panels filter the sunlight and provide ventilation for the buildings. One of important architectural elements of its functional and practical system for refabricated houses and dismountable modules by Prouvé’s constructional philosophy; an economy of materials and means.

Condition:
Remarkable original condition. Some signs of wear consistent with age and use. The aluminium panel with scattered dents and abrasions, and the wood frame shows wear with flaked blue-paint and wood losses, but the panel remains full of character in the unrestored original condition.
