This is a symbolic altar object. A sculptural clay ceremonial pot lid from the Ewe tribe of Ghana, West Africa. Looks interesting from all sides with mystical two human figures. Features two offering hands on each end and snakes in relief in the middle. It is used as a personal altar, decorated with white kaolin pigment which is a symbolic connector to the dream world. They are important visual symbols of another world.


Condition:
In good vintage condition. Some signs of wear consistent with age and use.

祭壇を象徴するオブジェ。西アフリカ、ガーナのエウェ族から出土した、粘土製の儀式用ポットの蓋です。神秘的な2人の人物の姿はどこから見ても興味深く、歴史的背景を想像させます。両端には2つの捧げ手があり、中央には蛇が浮き彫りに。これは個人的な祭壇として使用され、夢の世界への象徴的なコネクターである白いカオリン顔料で装飾されているアートピースです。別世界の重要な視覚的シンボルでもある。


コンディション
良好なヴィンテージ・コンディション。経年と使用に伴う多少の磨耗が見受けられます。
